I’m Sierra Godfrey, the artist behind Figment.

I’m a recent graduate of RIT’s metals program, and right now every piece at Figment is designed, fabricated and shipped by me, from my studio in Foster City, California.

Everything here is one of a kind or made in a small batch — there is no production line, no restock, no “back in inventory soon.” A piece exists, it finds its person, and then it’s part of their story instead of mine.

My work has always revolved around bright colors and unique shapes, and lately around containing feeling — vessels, lockets and brooches whose stones stay visible inside their silver cages. The sound of a lid closing, the click of a clasp, polished silver against skin: each piece is meant to be a small sensory experience you carry with you.
